1.Which material should I pick for my lenses?

The best material for you will depend on your prescription.

Plastic is ideal for light prescriptions, ranging from no correction to +/- 1.75.

Polycarbonate is more suited to those with +/- 2.00 to 4.00. It is also suited for children, and those following an active lifestyle, due to it's impact resistance feature.

1.67 Hi-Index lenses are used to help reduce  the distortion seen by those who look at your eyes.  It is best fitted for those with +/- 2.00 or above. To find out your correction value ask your optician. If you have your prescription and you aren't sure which part is this correction value, give our experts a call and they will explain it to you.

2.What coats should I pick for my lenses?

Every one of our lenses is equipped with a scratch-resisting coat . Other coatings are available at an extra cost:

Anti-Reflective (AR) - A clear coat to reduce glare on both sides of the lenses. Essential for all lenses to prevent tired and sore eyes.  Transitions - These will lighten and darken depending on your surroundings, to avoid the need of switching between prescription and sunglasses.

Xperio UV Polarized - Turn any lenses into premium sunglasses. Unlike Transitions, these are permanently dark. UV Protection - Another clear coat to protect you from the harmful rays of the sun. It is so important that we include it with all polycarbonate and Hi-Index lenses as well as all plastic lenses with additional coats.

3.What is anti-glare coating?  What about anti-reflective coating?

Anti-Reflective (AR) and Anti-Glare lenses are the same thing, they just have an alternate name, depending on who you ask. The coat will reduce the reflections on both sides of the lenses.

4.Why can't I see properly out of my progressive lenses?

The majority of first-time progressive lenses wearers need time to adjust to them, as your eyes and brain have to become accustomed to the change. This may take around a week. If problems persist, double check your prescription with a doctor. If the prescription is correct, it may just be the positioning of your glasses.

5.My Photochromic (Transitions) lenses won't change color. Why?

Photochromic lenses will only change under direct UV exposure. This means clouds can prevent shading, as can car windshields, due to a commonly built-in UV filter.    Transitions do in fact make a lenses for driving, along with several other products. For more information, call our team at 626-739-3688. We will be more than happy to assist you in anyway we can do for you.

6.Do I need Bifocals or Progressive lens? What's the difference?

Bifocal lenses provide you with both distance and reading in one lenses. There is a line in the middle separating the two, meaning there are two distinct areas of your lenses, and witching between the two can cause irritation, due to the sudden change.

Progressive lenses are the more advanced version of these, with no line, and multiple focal points to create a perfect transition. This means as you look from the top to the bottom of your lenses, the distance of your view will change painlessly and hassle free.
