Throwback Thursday: Tura Vintage Eyewear 1940-1950

Tura Eyewear is celebrating their 75th anniversary this year. In March at the Vision Expo Convention in New York, Tura showcased some of their historical Eyewear.
One of their first was the Turaette, a cross over of a glamours hair piece and eyewear. We love the jewelry look.
Looking closely at their 1950′s, the delicate detailing included roses, flowers and leaves. Tura used real gemstones, even diamonds!
To encourage both men and women to consider eyewear as an important fashion accessory, many styles came with accessorizing items such as brooches. The details made eyewear a unique piece of jewelry.
