Optical expert Larry Leight made his dreams come true when he opened his first store in 1986. Initially, he sold vintage glasses and sunglasses, which he had won at an auction. The receipt he received with the frames had the name ‘Oliver Peoples’ on it and Leight was unsure if it was the name of the distributor or the owner of the eyewear. Out of respect, he sold glasses in his name and thus, a brand was born. Seeing the success in sales with the vintage spectacles inspired Leight to design his own eyewear brand with a vintage-inspired look. The Oliver Peoples Strummer is currently a best-selling pair of sunglasses for the brand. They have a classic aviator look but is unique as the tear dropped shaped lenses are slightly more elongated. It suits more face shapes and has a slightly modern look to the traditional aviator style. The model has a sleek, double bridge. The sunglasses have a masculine style but is unisex. |

The Oliver Peoples OV1004S is semi-rimless and has a slim wire frame. The sunglasses are handcrafted with lightweight hypoallergenic titanium which means that though they are so light, they are also durable. The highest quality materials are used and imported from Italy. The temples are made out of flexible Beta-titanium which means they give the utmost comfort but also have a film grip. |
